Thank you for the piece. You make it interesting and informative. You asked about whether your bank will tell to come for your money or find you a bond on secondary market after a failed auction. Retail investors are non competitive bids, so all are accepted. Thank you

Thanks guys for the discussion. A few qns;

1. Is it to say that a beyond a certain rate, the government considers it has better alternatives to raise money than through the auctions?

2. How does one(ugandan) participate in the US government securities market?

3. With the "failed auction", are we also likely to see a fall in return being offered by unit trust funds mostly investing in the government securities?

Otherwise looking forward to more insights.
